The exclusive Microsoft games "Pentiment" and "Hi-Fi Rush," originally for Xbox and PC, are reportedly branching out to PS5 and Nintendo Switch as per information that surfaced prior to a leak. These revelations came from The Verge in anticipation of a forthcoming podcast featuring key Xbox personnel: Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft Gaming, Sarah Bond, Xbox President, and Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios. This broadcast is expected to unveil Xbox's novel approach to business, which is rumored to include the release of select exclusives on competing platforms.

According to insider sources, The Verge has learned that Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment are poised to be the inaugural titles released on other consoles, with the hit game Sea of Thieves slated to join them later in the year. Meanwhile, Microsoft is considering the same for additional first-party games.

Speculation has mounted over the past weeks fueled by leaks. Eager whispers suggest that notable games such as Starfield and the Indiana Jones title may also land on non-Xbox platforms before the year ends.

This strategy marks a significant pivot for Microsoft, pushed by a desire to overcome a slowdown in major Xbox game releases and to inject life back into Game Pass subscriptions, which have reportedly fallen short of company expectations.

The official details will be disclosed during the Xbox podcast, which airs at 8pm UK time on Thursday. Microsoft has teased fans with promises of updates on the "Xbox business" through an official social media posting, raising anticipation for the company's full disclosure.
