The situation for Xbox appears challenging at the moment. After the departure of nearly 2000 staff members, the shuttering of four development houses, and with no indication of a reduction in these measures, the community supporting the brand is understandably distressed.
Nevertheless, Xbox continues to forge ahead with its existing strategies, undeterred by the current climate. Sarah Bond, in a conversation with Bloomberg, hinted at an exciting project set to be unveiled in July: the Xbox mobile marketplace.
In light of recent regulatory changes allowing different companies to offer their marketplaces on Apple and Android devices, Xbox is poised to dive into the mobile gaming arena. With the acquisition of King, it's anticipated that unique mobile titles will be exclusive to the Xbox platform.
